WIN10系统磁盘镜像卷建立与简单测试

0.什么是镜像卷

镜像卷是具有容错能力的动态卷。它通过复制卷的两个副本或镜像来复制存储在卷上的数据,从而提供数据冗余。写入镜像卷的所有数据都写入单独物理磁盘上的两个镜像。WIN10系统磁盘镜像卷建立与简单测试

简单的说,操作系统同时将数据写入多个硬盘,从而提高数据的安全性,类似于RAID1,但RAID1一般是通过硬件实现,镜像卷通过软件实现。
1.建立镜像卷

右键“这台电脑->管理->磁盘管理”

2. 建立镜像卷至少需要两块硬盘,如果之前硬盘已经分区过,需要备份数据,删除原卷,然后在未分配扇区右击“新建镜像卷” ”

3.此时弹出一个窗口,在左边的“可用”列表中点击需要形成镜像的卷点击“添加”,设置自己的空间容量,然后点击“下一步”,其余选项按自己需要选择(下一步也可以)

完成后可以看到出现了两个E盘,这样镜像卷就创建好了

2.镜像卷性能测试

我用来建镜像卷的两个硬盘都是机械盘,一个是支持NVME的固态盘,为什么机械盘是固态盘,主要是没有其他硬盘好奇这组会测什么,在两个硬盘上创建新的镜像卷以测量每个硬盘的速度之前

可以看出,镜像卷写入速度和机械盘建立后,读取速度略有提升,其实在软件中可以识别出两个不同名称的G盘,这里两个盘的读写速度是一样的不再映射。

关于这个读取速度有小幅提升,我初步推测是由于SSD的介入而提高了速度,所以跑了另一个结果读取速度降低了,降到和个别机械盘一样,然后继续运行几次,结果越来越离谱,有时突然到2000MB/s,然后又降到100多。不知道这是测试软件对镜像卷测试的BUG还是镜像卷。后来用30G压缩包测试,确定镜像卷的读取速度也和机械盘一致。

可以得出这样的结论,两块硬盘有镜像卷后,磁盘的读写速度与较慢的磁盘相同,所以建议构建一个性能相近的磁盘的镜像卷,避免性能损失(除非你就像我整天担心固态会掉下来一样)

另外,没有空间建立镜像卷可以建立普通的简单卷,读写速度不受影响

0. What is a mirror volume

Mirrored volumes are dynamic volumes that are fault tolerant. It provides data redundancy by copying data stored on the volume by copying two copies or mirrors of the volume. All data written to the mirror volume is written to two mirrors on a separate physical disk.

Simply put, the operating system writes data to multiple hard drives at the same time, thus improving data security, which is similar to RAID1, but RAID1 is generally implemented through hardware, and mirror volumes are implemented by software.
1. Establish a mirror volume

Right-click "This PC-> Management-> Disk Management"

2. It takes at least two hard drives to establish a mirror volume, if the hard disk has been divided before, you need to back up the data, delete the original volume, and then right-click on the unassigned sector "New Mirror Volume"

3. At this point pop up a window, in the left "available" list click on the need to form a mirror volume click "Add", set their own space capacity, and then click on "Next", the remaining options according to their own needs to choose (the next step can also be)

When you're done, you can see that two E-disks appear so that the mirror volume is created

2. Mirror volume performance test

The two hard drives I use to build mirror volumes are mechanical disks, one is a solid state disk that supports NVME, and why is a mechanical disk a solid state disk, mainly because no other hard disk is curious about what this group will measure, before creating a new mirror volume on the two hard drives to measure the speed of each

It can be seen that after the establishment of mirror volume writing speed and mechanical disk, reading speed has slightly improved, in fact, in the software can identify two different names of G disk, the two disks read and write speed is the same here is no longer map.

Regarding this read speed has a small increase, I initially speculated that it was due to the involvement of the SSD and increased the speed, so ran another result reading speed was reduced, down to the same as the individual mechanical disk, and then continued to run a few times, the results are more and more outrageous, sometimes suddenly to 2000MB/s, and then will drop to more than 100. It is not known whether this is a BUG tested by the test software for mirror volumes or a feature of mirror volumes. Later, after testing with a 30G compression package, it was determined that the reading speed of the mirror volume was also consistent with the mechanical disk.

It can be concluded that after two hard drives have a mirror volume, the disk reads and writes at the same speed as a slower disk, so it is recommended to build a mirror volume with a similar performance disk to avoid loss of performance (unless you're as worried all day as I am that solid state will fall off)

In addition, there is no room to establish mirror volumes can establish normal simple volumes, reading and writing speed will not be affected
